On September 30th, Gentry Locke Rakes & Moore co-sponsored and presented an Executive Banker Briefing to members of the Virginia Association of Community Banks at the Inn at Virginia Tech. The session featured discussions on Directors' Expectations for Management, Comprehensive Preparations for Shareholders' Meetings, and Employment Law Updates. The featured luncheon speaker was John Poskonka, Field Supervisor with the FDIC, who offered insights and observations on the current examination environment.
Introductory Remarks were made by Gentry Locke attorney Doug Densmore. Gentry Locke attorney Bill Rakes spoke on What Directors Expect of their Bank Management and Bryce Hunter presented information on Shareholder Meetings. Attorneys Paul Klockenbrink and Gregory Hunt presented a session on Employee Handbooks and EEO Training.
