David N. Cohan, an attorney with the Roanoke, Virginia law firm of Gentry Locke Rakes & Moore, has been selected to serve a three-year term on the Intellectual Property & Information Technology Section Council of the Virginia Bar Association.
Cohan's term took effect January 23 during the Association's Annual Meeting.
The purpose of the Intellectual Property & Information Technology Section Council is to increase awareness of intellectual property law issues among practitioners.
Cohan's practice with Gentry Locke focuses on commercial transactions including intellectual property, business representation and contracts, commercial real estate and leasing, corporate formation, and banking. He holds a juris doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and a bachelor's degree with honors from Rutgers University.
