Virginia attorney Dave Cohan spoke to attendees at the recent Roanoke Regional Writers Conference, held at Hollins University from January 22-23, 2010. Cohan spoke about "Freelance Writing and the Law." Attendees learned about copyright, defamation, incorporating, and other legal issues of interest to writers during his talk, which attendees rated the highest among all speakers.
According to event organizer Dan Smith, "The most popular presenter at the conference (all 'excellent' scores) was a lawyer. Gentry Locke Rakes & Moore's Dave Cohan's work was praised as useful, organized and marvelously delivered."
