Feeding America Southwest Virginia recently wrapped up its participation in the 13th annual statewide “Legal Food Frenzy.” Fifteen local law offices and organizations joined in the friendly competition, hosting a variety of creative activities designed to raise food and funds for the local food bank.

Gentry Locke won the Large Office (25+ employees) category, raising the equivalent of 253 lbs. of food per employee.

Attorneys Charlie Calton, Kirk Sosebee, Lauren Coleman, Alicha Grubb, Court Shipman, Dave Berry, and Ben Law worked to ensure the competition between Gentry Locke floors and office locations was lively and engaging. They were ably assisted by some stuper staff: Stephanie Copes, Anita Mattox and Bernadine Huff in our Roanoke office, Donna Jones in our Richmond office, and Jennifer Ezell in our Lynchburg office.

The winning Large Office and Small Office will be recognized at a reception in Richmond honoring the top Large and Small office teams from each of the seven regional food banks comprising the Federation of Virginia Food Banks.

Legal Food Frenzy is a statewide, two-week food and fund drive taking place in April of each year with support from the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia, the Virginia Bar Association and the Federation of Virginia Food Banks. Law schools, legal departments, and government and public service legal organizations are invited to participate.
